Input: A 4-20 mA signal from a differential pressure (DP) transmitter measuring flow across an orifice plate. This signal is proportional to the square of the flow rate (ΔP ∝ Flow²).

Processing: The conditioner is configured to perform Square Root (SQRT) extraction on the input signal.

Output 1: A 4-20 mA output proportional to the actual flow rate is sent to the control system for monitoring and control.

Output 2: A second, isolated 4-20 mA output, also proportional to flow rate, is sent to a data historian or safety system.
