Typical Application
This module is used to monitor a large number of binary field devices:
Field Devices: Emergency stop buttons, limit switches, level switches, pressure switches, valve position feedback, and motor run-status contacts.
Wiring: Each field contact is wired between the module's common point and an individual input channel.
Operation: When a field contact closes, it allows the module's internal 24V DC wetting current to flow, which the module detects as an "ON" or "1" state.
System Integration: The state of all 16 channels is transmitted digitally to the ProSafe-RS or CENTUM VP controller for logic processing.
