The Yokogawa CP461 is a processor (CPU) module used in the CENTUM VP Field Control Unit (FCU), forming the core control unit of the Field Control Station (FCS). It is designed for high reliability, continuous operation, and supports dual-redundant configurations. CP461 modules are replaceable with CP471 in some cases, with certain software/hardware requirements. It interfaces with various components via redundant network (Vnet/IP), communications and I/O modules. It includes memory protection during power failure, “READY” contact output for FCU status monitoring, and supports a certain number of node units in the system.
